As an approved contractor to the SIA, Adsec ensure all new employees have a valid SIA License in the first step of our recruitment process. All new staff are screened to the BS.7858 2006 standard prior to commencement of employment and all officers go on to do an NVQ 2 in Customer Care and PSS, Providing Security Services.

ADSEC take great care to ensure that the staff we employ pass our induction training and tests to a high standard. All successful candidates are employed and are fully trained. Training includes:

  • Adsec 1 Day Induction
  • Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • Manual Handling
  • Operation Fairway (anti-terrorism Project Griffin course)
  • Fire Evacuation
  • Customer Care (NVQ Level 2)
  • Security Provision (NVQ Level 2)
  • Report Writing
  • On-site Familiarisation
  • Scenario Testing/ Post Assessment
  • Refresher Training/Testing

We understand that only motivated and well trained operatives can deliver a first class service.

At commencement each officer spends a day completing our induction and test, if an officer fails the test we will not employ them. This is followed by a day of on-site training to ensure the security officer is fully conversant with the site specific Assignment Instructions, well acquainted with their surroundings and knows the duties on site. The SIA auditors commended our induction and exam procedure and have advised that the SIA plan to introduce this requirement to all approved contractors providing security services in the near future.

All officers make regular check calls to our automated system and are supervised by area patrollers who carry out covert and overt visits regularly.
